The opportunity
This is a six-month hybrid (one day a week onsite in San Carlos, CA) contract role with hourly compensation . There is potential to extend or convert to full-time based on performance and business needs.
What you'll do
Work closely with the architecture and product teams to drive complex system design
Perform code reviews and mentor the development team with best practices
Make key design and technical implementation decisions on complex systems and help guide engineering vision
Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, and transform them: into highly scalable and reliable, developer-friendly REST microservice APIs
Design, build, and maintain highly sustainable systems to support our: business applications, including data pipelines and analytics services on Snowflake
+ years of overall software development experience, preferably secure,: scalable web applications with frontend and backend web technologies
What they're looking for
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience with Python and modern backend frameworks, especially FastAPI (with Pydantic and Uvicorn)
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Experience with React for frontend development, ideally with Material UI and Vite
