What you'll do
Design whitespace layouts including rack placement, aisle configuration,: equipment density, and airflow strategy
Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to integrate: power distribution and cooling infrastructure into whitespace environments
Optimize whitespace designs for capacity, scalability, redundancy, airflow performance, and energy efficiency
Coordinate with network and cloud teams to ensure structured cabling,: connectivity, and fiber management meet performance requirements
Validate redundancy strategies (N+1, 2N) and ensure designs align with SLA requirements
Ensure whitespace designs comply with industry standards including TIA-942,: Uptime Institute guidelines, ASHRAE recommendations, and applicable codes
What they're looking for
- Apply local building codes, safety regulations, and company design policies
- Develop CAD/BIM drawings, schematics, and 3D models of whitespace environments
- Create capacity planning models to forecast growth, utilization, and infrastructure scaling
- Maintain technical documentation supporting operations, maintenance, and audit requirements
