What you'll do
Define and own the mechanical design efforts across Nuro covering prototype: development, product development, and long term R&D.
Ensure a high level of technical execution and delivery of our mechanical: modules and solutions to our vehicle platform.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with electrical, software, planning,: procurement, and production teams to ensure our products meet our high bar of excellence and performance.
Own and support the industrialization and manufacturing of our mechanical: systems and modules from first prototype to production ramp.
Support and mentor individual contributors and managers with a focus on: career development, culture building, technical rigor, and product excellence.
Collaborate closely with organization leadership and the TPM team to help: define program timelines and prioritization across programs.
What they're looking for
- Ensure mechanical design efforts are meeting program milestones by driving: critical cross-functional milestone reviews to the org and leadership.
- Takes ownership of critical program issues to develop countermeasures, drive resolution, and monitor progress.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Professional engineering experience of 8+ years, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams.
