We are building an elite team to drive financial insight and strategy at Stripe. The Finance & Strategy team brings understanding and predictability to Stripe’s financials, and we work together with our key business partners to accelerate long term growth for Stripe.
What you'll do
Partner with F&S and Business Leaders to drive the long-term success of Stripe
Coach, mentor, and oversee a team of small analysts
Work cross functionally to identify important strategy questions and answer them with data
Build financial forecasts and targets, track performance, and understand: deviations from actuals to drive strategy and operational rigor
Gain deep knowledge and understanding of Stripe's business performance across geographies and user segments
Define metrics and leading indicators of business performance and partner: with the Analytics team to develop tools and dashboards to make these metrics widely accessible across Stripe
What they're looking for
- + years of relevant FP&A, strategic finance, or business-finance experience with 2+ years managing a team
- Experience owning planning and forecasting processes across headcount, operating expenses, and/or revenue.
- Strong financial-analysis fundamentals, including budgeting and forecasting,: month-end close support, and budget-versus-actual variance analysis.
- The ability to manage and develop a small team of analysts, including setting: priorities, reviewing work, coaching, and creating clear accountability.
- Ability to retain a defined individual-contributor portfolio alongside: people-management responsibilities. ~50% IC work, 50% Manager responsibilities.
- Strong SQL and/or Python skills, with demonstrated ability to automate: recurring analyses and improve finance workflows through AI-enabled tools and automation.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, independently develop a point of: view, and drive cross-functional projects to completion.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with a track record: of acting as a trusted, objective finance partner to business leaders.
