What you'll do

  • Inventory Accuracy & Control: Own cycle count programs, physical inventory counts, and reconciliation processes across all product lines. Drive inventory record accuracy above target thresholds and investigate root causes when discrepancies arise.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of Inventory Control Technicians. Set priorities, assign work, and build a culture of precision and accountability. Coordinate with Materials Associates to ensure alignment across warehouse operations.

  • Multi-Business Line Operations: Maintain segregated inventory tracking across multiple Maritime programs. Ensure material movements, transactions, and adjustments are attributed to the correct business line to support the site's cost allocation model.

  • ERP/WMS System Ownership: Serve as a warehouse power user for ERP and WMS platforms. Support system configuration for multi-BL tracking, ensure transaction discipline, and troubleshoot system issues. Participate in ongoing systems buildout as the site scales.

  • Financial Stewardship: Monitor and reconcile inventory-related variances. Support financial auditing activities, lead physical inventory counts, and partner with the Production Finance Lead on inventory valuation and excess and obsolete (E&O) material management.

  • Compliance & Government Property: Ensure all material management practices comply with federal requirements, including the Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS) for government property accountability. Maintain audit-ready records at all times.

What they're looking for

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead process improvements to increase accuracy, reduce waste, and improve material flow. Implement standardized procedures that scale as additional business lines come to the site.
  • Metric Reporting: Develop and maintain inventory dashboards covering accuracy percentages, inventory turns, transaction discipline, shrinkage, and cycle count results. Report regularly to site leadership on performance and trends.
