What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end communications strategy for the Consumer & Business: product group, defining narratives that drive awareness, adoption, and trust across product launches, feature releases, and company announcements.

  • Lead proactive media relations for your beat, cultivating relationships with: crypto and mainstream press, pitching stories, and securing high-impact coverage that positions Coinbase's consumer products.

  • Advise Consumer product leadership on communications strategy, preparing: executives for media appearances with briefing documents, key messages, and anticipated Q&A.

  • Drive rapid-response communications and crisis management for issues related: to consumer products, partnering with Legal, Policy, and senior leadership to deliver clear, timely narratives.

  • Shape content across channels, including messaging frameworks, blog posts,: social copy, and press materials, setting the quality bar and ensuring consistency with Coinbase's brand voice.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Design, Engineering, and: Compliance to align launch communications with product roadmaps and regulatory requirements.

What they're looking for

  • + years of communications experience at a PR agency or in-house: communications team, with at least 2 years working within crypto, fintech, or consumer technology and a track record of independently owning a product communications beat.
  • Proven media relations results, including established relationships with: crypto and mainstream tech press and demonstrated success in placing proactive product narratives and managing reactive cycles.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling ability with a portfolio demonstrating: the translation of complex product and technology concepts into clear, compelling narratives for mainstream audiences.
  • Direct experience advising product executives on communications strategy,: including spokesperson preparation, launch messaging, and narrative development for senior leaders.
