What you'll do

  • Drive the product vision and roadmap for the Operational Data: Platform—focusing on low-latency data creation, transport, storage, and availability for downstream analytics—partnering closely with the Engineering Lead for the platform.

  • Lead the squad's cost-efficiency roadmap , taking accountability for targeted cost savings as a core KPI.

  • Maintain the reliability of critical-path systems (streaming and core: databases), setting uptime targets and feeding incident learnings back into platform planning.

  • Champion data-contract and schema standards at the point of data creation,: collaborating with data-producing engineering teams to close adoption gaps and ensure quality data flows downstream.

  • Guide platform tooling decisions , consolidating technologies around optimal: solutions rather than accumulating redundant options.

  • Define and maintain the handover contract with the Analytical Data Platform,: ensuring downstream data is consistently trustworthy and ready for governance.

What they're looking for

  • Act as the primary interface between the Operational Data Platform and data: producers, translating business and technical needs into actionable roadmap priorities.
  • Define, track, and report squad KPIs (cost efficiency, critical-path: reliability, data-quality adoption) against quarterly alliance goals.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager with a solid grounding in data: infrastructure, data engineering, or backend platforms—comfortable with streaming, messaging, and database architecture.
  • Working familiarity with event streaming and relational/NoSQL database: technologies to partner credibly with engineering leads on technical trade-offs.
