What you'll do
Develop and maintain the payout profile and payout scheduling components of: SumUp’s Payments Processing Platform.
Help transition the existing legacy system to a new event-driven microservices architecture.
Design and build scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Work across the full software development lifecycle, from technical design: and implementation to testing, deployment and production support.
Build reliable, maintainable and well-tested services that support money movement and merchant payouts.
Contribute to API design, data flows and integration patterns across the Payments Platform.
What they're looking for
- Investigate operational issues, identify root causes and implement permanent fixes.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews and code reviews.
- Collaborate with engineers, QA, Product and adjacent Payments teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Help improve the team’s engineering practices, operational readiness and system maintainability.
